Re: NMRA Coyote Stock class car

Ok people. Its been a little bit but here are some more pictures of the CRE Coyote for NMRA.
Bellhousing and transmission are in.

Roll bar is finished except the pass side door bar. Will be easier to finish things inside and put it in last thing.

Re: NMRA Coyote Stock class car

Had to make the battery switch push pull as per NHRA.

Joe should have the fuel system installed in a few days. little wiring and we will be firing the Coyote by next Thursday. Wednesday the 15th we should be at the track testing as long as the radiator shows up.

Re: NMRA Coyote Stock class car

This wednesday night at PBIR for the NMRA Coyote Stock Class car to make some passes.
Been slammed at shop. Working on the Coyote and other X275 stuff for Georgia this weekend. Not enough time to make any new post on this thread, sorry guys. These 10-12 hr days 14 straight are killing me.
It is almost done. Fininshing up exhaust and gears tomorrow. Joe still has gauge work to complete but with or without gauges its getting loaded in trailer tomorrow night and she will be at PBIR wednesday with or without gauges making passes. shooting for a 10.90 or better.
See you there!!!

Re: NMRA Coyote Stock class car

Guy was testing in Georgia and stood it up on back bumper. All four tires off the ground and came back down and smashed up a few parts. Needed weight mounted on front of car to keep it down. Built a new radiator support to handle the weight. Also had to remount turbo plus build crash bars. after of course installing a new oil pan. Its a 8.2 deck Victor headed 363. Has been 7.50@198 and the ShakeDown with a 116mm turbo. It has a ProMod88mm now and should go 4.80-4.90 at 150

Re: NMRA Coyote Stock class car

First pass was a shake down.
11.58@116.99

Next pass hit it 500 rpm harder out of the gate. Was running a good hit until 3rd let go in the transmission. Will have to thrash to get the trans rebuilt in time for next thursday.

Thanks Scott for the video.

What was the 60' on that pass? Looks like it was probably still on the rear tires.
