I got a pretty cool book by Scott Kelby called "Scott Kelby's 7-Point System for Adobe Photoshop CS3" which is pretty good. I haven't read through the whole thing since I just got it today but I started messing with a pic or two to see how the techniques apply.

Just wanted everyone's take. It is the first one I do so please be gentle. I also know that my camera has some spots on the lens which I have to clean - they are really apparent on the second one.

I am glad dude... I actually want to take the time and learn this right. I am going to have to get a better PC though - this laptop is lagging hard core! And the Camera as well...

I'll have to do that next year... But for now I need to probably get more memory and get my point and shoot cleaned.

i just got photoshop CS3 from my boyfriend i think im gunna have to buy a book too because i use to know photoshop 7 when i was in school for my webdesigning but ive completely forgotten it all and now i really want to get back into it...your doing awesome with the skillz you got!! congrats keep up the good work!

I'll type up the process for you guys. It take a bit of eyeballing but it is really simple. I am sure there is a lot to this - but I skimmed through the book and read the first two chapters tonight and managed to get this far. This guy is amazing... (NO ****)

I know I know.. I just want to learn how to take decent photos before going nuts and dropping the $600 on the DSLR. I still screw up a lot of things like shoot with the lighting behind you, the rule of thirds, my composition usually blows, and I can't seem to get the angles I see in my head yet. So I have a ways to go.
I realized that there is a lot more to "taking pictures" than just pointing, clicking, and praying that one shot is good.
I really appreciate the comments though - just makes me push to get better. I'll post some more pics of a few other cars I shot - something with a little more color maybe.

Enrique, we have got to hook up (yes...no **** LOL). My camera is so so but better then the average digital piece and my PC is close to being up to date. Photoshop and what not run without this thing breaking a sweat (except right now because I am messing around with overclocking).

well after seeing the photochopped pics Inoticed the originals had ALOT of blue in them

Gary, for sure dude... I intend on going back to that miramar park on Friday to snap a few shots during sunset. I was out there today with Gabriel at the park and didn't bother to take the camera and the tripod but you should definitely come out next time.

Plus the lighting out there is pretty good in some areas.
