3650 issues
so im thinking the tranny is low on fluid and somewhere it has a leak. My mechanic swears there is no leak when i took it to him but i think hes an iddiot cause here are the issues its having. Very loud whining noise on 1st,2nd,3rd and 5th gear. stiff shifting, the smell of tranny fluid at times and it has major issue going into 3rd on full throttle. I got a used tranny back in january and i've taken it to the mechanic numerous time and i just feel like he doesnt care and just says its fine that its the tranny and not a leak. Now im thinking due to the leak its caused these issues which has now probably ended up destroying the tranny. Im thinking it may be the rear seal where the shaft connects to it. how can i know for sure??

Re: 3650 issues
I cant really help you answer your question, but I could offer a suggestion though: Get a new mechanic if it feels like he is blowing you off which is in term possibly making more time pass, damaging your tranny.
I know finding a good mechanic is hard, and not sure if this is a mustang specific shop, but if it isnt, try taking it to one and see what they have to say! good luck!!

Re: 3650 issues
Your right about the leak. If the trans has been leaking for awhile it most likley caused your issues. If you can squueze under the car look where the shaft meets the trans. If it is leaking there you will deff see it. If you cant do this feel free to swing by and I will have my guys put it on a lift. This we we can see for sure.
